Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mariner is seeking a Managing Director, Investment Banking to lead business development, advisory, and transaction execution for emerging middle-market companies, with a focus on founder-led and privately held businesses. This senior leader will originate new opportunities, build trusted relationships across Mariner’s advisor ecosystem, and guide clients through mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, liquidity events, and other strategic transactions.

The ideal candidate is a proven investment banking professional with strong client relationship skills, deep transaction experience, and the ability to deliver thoughtful, holistic solutions that support business owners through critical growth, transition, and succession decisions.

Responsibilities

* Originate and cultivate middle-market investment banking opportunities by developing relationships with business owners, private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and referral sources to build a sustainable transaction pipeline.
