Job Description

The Post Oak Group is seeking a Director to lead transaction execution across the firm’s lower middle market capital markets and M&A practice. This role is designed for a seasoned banker ready to own mandates, manage senior client and investor relationships, and build toward Managing Director-level responsibility.

This is a senior client-facing, investor-facing role. The Director leads live transactions day to day and represents the firm in front of institutional investors and business owners, with all securities-related activity conducted in full regulatory compliance and within applicable supervisory frameworks.

Role Overview

As a Director, you will quarterback sell-side M&A, private placement, and capital raise mandates from engagement through closing. You will own process design and execution, manage client and investor communication at a senior level, and lead deal teams across concurrent mandates.

The role demands strong commercial judgment, comprehensive transaction expertise, and the credibility to lead processes in front of sophisticated clients and investors while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of sell-side M&A, private placements, and capital raises, owning process strategy, timeline, and quality of work product
• Manage senior client relationships throughout each engagement, advising founders and management teams on positioning, valuation, and key process decisions
• Drive investor and buyer processes, including universe construction, outreach strategy, management of indications of interest, and negotiation support through closing
• Present opportunities to institutional investors, family offices, and private capital sources, articulating the investment thesis, financial profile, and transaction structure with authority
