A growing manufacturing and distribution company serving major national Hardware retailers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controller / Operations Manager to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is a fast learner, enjoys working in a team environment, and is willing to take ownership of multiple areas of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in accounting, inventory management, purchasing, retail compliance, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform inventory reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory adjustments, purchasing activity, and product movement.
• Coordinate EDI transactions and retailer compliance requirements.
• Work with vendors, distributors, and major retail partners.
• Assist with forecasting, purchasing, and operational planning.
• Support management with reporting, analysis, and process improvements.
• Maintain organized records and documentation.
• Help develop and improve internal controls and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Accounting, bookkeeping, finance, inventory management, or operations experience.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and reconciliation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• EDI experience, including TrueCommerce, is a plus.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
