Job Summary

The Controller plays a critical role in the stewardship and financial leadership of the organization's resources, supporting the mission and values of Lutheran Hour Ministries. This position is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and overseeing internal controls.

Performs his/her duties consistent with the LHM and Ministry Services plans, strategic plans, policies, and other guidelines, and within applicable law.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Oversee and review all monthly financial close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Audit & Compliance

• Provide direct oversight of all aspects of the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and coordination with external auditors.
