Position Summary

The Accounting & Finance Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting function while building scalable financial processes that support the continued growth of Concertium and sister company ShieldWatch.

This position provides technical accounting expertise, leadership, coaching, and operational oversight for the accounting team. The role partners closely with the fractional CFO and executive leadership while serving as the future succession path into the Controller position.

The ideal candidate enjoys building processes, mentoring people, improving systems, and creating structure within a fast-growing recurring revenue technology company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Leadership

· Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

· Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

· Oversee revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals, and expense recognition.

· Review monthly financial statements before submission to the fractional CFO.

Leadership & Team Development

· Provide daily leadership and coaching to the accounting team.

· Establish priorities and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

· Develop departmental procedures and standard operating processes.

· Build scalable accounting workflows as the company grows.

· Assist in hiring and developing future accounting staff.

Financial Operations

· Oversee cash management and weekly cash flow reporting.

· Review AR aging and collection strategies.

· Monitor billing accuracy and recurring revenue processes.

· Review payroll and commission calculations.

· Oversee vendor management and payment processes.

· Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
