About the Role
Our Columbia office is expanding, and we are seeking an Account Manager to take ownership of client relationships within our liquidity management and treasury advisory practice. This role is designed for a professional who has moved beyond entry-level support and is ready to manage accounts with greater autonomy, contribute to commercial strategy, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients across the Midlands region.
You will work at the intersection of financial consulting and relationship management, supporting a client base that includes industrial corporations, commercial enterprises, financial institutions, and investment funds. You will report to a Senior Account Manager and collaborate daily with teams across Financial Consulting, Treasury Advisory, Compliance, Data Analytics, and Customer Success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Client Portfolio Ownership
Manage a portfolio of domestic and international clients with increasing independence. Take responsibility for day-to-day operational coordination, administrative workflows, and recurring reporting, ensuring accounts remain on track and client expectations are consistently met.
Client Communication & Advisory Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to our liquidity management services — cash forecasting, working capital optimization, cash flow management, and treasury operations. Deliver responses that are timely, accurate, and aligned with the client’s broader financial objectives.
Consulting Engagement Collaboration
Partner with senior consultants to gather and analyze client financial data. Assist in preparing reports, executive-level presentations, and commercial proposals. Monitor project milestones and escalate issues that require senior attention.
Client Onboarding & Integration
Guide new clients through the initial phases of our relationship. Provide clear information about our service model, collect required documentation, and coordinate a smooth project launch. Ensure a seamless handoff from commercial discussions to delivery execution.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
Produce regular reports covering portfolio performance, project KPIs, liquidity metrics, and client satisfaction. Leverage CRM platforms and advanced spreadsheet tools to compile and present data for internal stakeholders and client reviews.
Team Objective Contribution
Support the team in achieving retention goals, customer satisfaction (CSAT) targets, upselling objectives, and overall portfolio growth. Contribute to a collaborative culture of shared accountability.
Candidate ProfileEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Political Science, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in account management, client advisory, commercial support, or analytical roles. Experience in consulting, corporate finance, treasury, banking, fintech, or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships with a degree of independence and commercial awareness.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Ability to produce professional documents — reports, presentations, and client proposals.
- Working knowledge of liquidity management concepts (cash flow, working capital, treasury, banking relationships) is a significant advantage.
Language Skills
Fluency in additional languages is warmly welcomed and considered a valuable asset. Our firm serves international clients and operates with global consulting methodologies, so the ability to communicate in languages such as Italian, Spanish, French, or German will support your work with cross-border clients and international projects. English fluency is required for all internal and client-facing communication.
Personal Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on active listening, empathy, and professional presence.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive and intellectually curious, with a genuine desire to deepen expertise in liquidity management.
- Effective problem-solver who can translate complex client needs into actionable steps.
- Collaborative team player who adapts well to a dynamic, fast-paced consulting environment.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe that outstanding contributions merit outstanding recognition. Our compensation structure emphasizes clarity, results, and long-term partnership.
- Base Salary: $5,400 – $7,200 gross per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Performance Incentive: Annual MBO bonus of up to 15%, determined by individual and team results.
