(The League) is seeking a remote Payments Portfolio Consultant to join our *LEVERAGE* Payment Solutions Team.
We're seeking a payments professional who brings both expertise and a passion for driving results. Do you have direct experience in debit, credit, or card programs? Do you enjoy analyzing portfolio performance and identifying opportunities to optimize and grow?

experience in areas such as card portfolio analysis, debit/credit profitability, issuer processing platforms, interchange optimization, BIN strategy, fraud and risk mitigation, digital wallet adoption, vendor contract evaluation, and emerging payments trends. As a Payments Portfolio Consultant, you will serve as the product and process expert for *LEVERAGE* Payment Solutions, responsible for growing and optimizing debit and credit card portfolios. You will partner closely with League Consultants to support new business opportunities while proactively engaging with existing clients nationwide to identify opportunities for innovation and portfolio expansion.
As a trusted advisor, you will drive issuer portfolio growth by advising debit and credit issuers on card strategy and payment program optimization. You will work closely with the Vice President of Payments to support Request for Proposals, RFP, development and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. You will develop and maintain strong relationships through regular client engagement, including quarterly touch point meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Management, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience. PMP certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of direct payments experience required (debit or credit card programs).
- Experience working with credit unions, financial institutions, fintech, or payment processors required.
- Strong consultative, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze client needs and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule
As a Payments Portfolio Consultant, the standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional commitments during evenings and weekends. The position requires occasional travel, which may involve both airline and car transportation. Therefore, a valid driver's license is required. This position offers a starting salary of $65,000 or higher, depending on experience, along with commission and performance-based incentives tied to portfolio growth.
