Investment Analyst – High Yield Credit (Hybrid – Columbus, OH)

At the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), a 60-person investment staff manages a $129 billion portfolio of diversified assets across public and private markets. Our Internal Fixed Income team is seeking an Investment Analyst to support security selection, credit research, and portfolio management for our US High Yield strategy. The role involves conducting fundamental credit analysis, developing investment recommendations, and identifying relative value opportunities across assigned sectors.

What You’ll Do

The analyst will perform issuer and industry research, analyze financial statements and capital structures, monitor market developments, and build forward-looking investment theses. Working closely with the High Yield Portfolio Manager, this individual will contribute to portfolio construction, risk management, and investment decision-making.

The position also includes participating in investment discussions and meetings with management teams and market participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for high yield investing, with primary coverage focused on US issuers.

What You’ll Bring

• A Bachelor's degree
