Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and industry-specific regulations.
• Manage corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and cash flow analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposures across all business units.
• Supervise treasury management activities including liquidity planning, investment management, and regulatory reporting to optimize cash flow and fiscal stability.
• Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate new initiatives, perform financial projection model development, and support strategic planning efforts.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and other relevant accounting policies while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations affecting nonprofit and governmental sectors.
• Lead the finance team in utilizing data analytics tools and financial software for effective financial analysis, reporting, and decision support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial management or finance directorship roles with a strong background in accounting systems, financial analysis, and industry knowledge of financial regulations.
• Deep understanding of IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS, GAAP, and industry-specific accounting practices such as nonprofit or governmental accounting.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, compliance management, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
• Technical proficiency with Excel data analysis tools, financial software platforms, and data analytics tools for comprehensive financial operations oversight.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams; ability to foster collaboration and strategic thinking across departments.
• Excellent communication skills for interpreting complex financial concepts into clear reports; experience in financial report writing is essential.
• Ability to develop innovative financial models for projections and scenario analysis that support strategic decision-making processes.
