Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee comprehensive financial activities, develop robust financial strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. As a key member of the leadership team, you will leverage your expertise in accounting, financial analysis, risk management, and payment operations to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will also oversee payment applications, AP automation, and ERP integration—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong segregation of duties across all outgoing payments. Your energetic approach will inspire teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and interpretation of complex financial statements, including profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.

Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, cost accounting, and account analysis to maintain precise financial records.

Develop and maintain detailed financial projection models to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.

Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, risk management strategies, investment oversight, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and fiscal health.

Oversee payment applications and AP automation workflows—including invoice intake, coding, approval routing, payment scheduling, and payment release—while maintaining approval hierarchies, payer permissions, and segregation of duties.

Administer corporate cards, fuel cards, toll programs, spend controls, and reimbursement processes through modern spend-management and AP automation platforms.

Ensure accurate ERP and TMS integration and reconciliation between payment platforms and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct, including vendor bills, bill payments, and payment matching.

Manage vendor master governance, payment runs, treasury coordination, and resolution of payment issues.

Oversee transportation-related payables and settlements, including carrier, vendor, fuel, and driver/owner-operator payments where applicable.

Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met by adhering to governmental accounting standards, transportation-related filings such as IFTA where applicable, and industry-specific regulations.

Lead risk analysis initiatives to identify potential financial vulnerabilities; implement mitigation strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Supervise the finance team’s daily operations while fostering professional development in areas such as financial software utilization, data analytics tools, and technical accounting practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development initiatives, cost control measures, and industry trend analysis to enhance profitability and market positioning.

Drive continuous improvement in financial processes through automation, data analysis tools, and innovative solutions to streamline operations.

Experience

Proven experience in senior financial management roles such as Finance Manager, Finance Director, or Controller, with extensive knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations.

Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards; familiarity with IFRS or ASC 606 is a plus.

Strong background in corporate finance, public accounting, or transportation/logistics finance environments.

Experience overseeing AP automation or spend-management platforms, such as Ramp Bill Pay, Bill.com, Brex, Airbase, Coupa, or SAP Concur.

Experience with ERP and payment integrations, particularly QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.

Experience with corporate cards, fuel cards, reimbursements, spend controls, and payment approval workflows.

Extensive experience in risk management, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling development.

Proficiency with advanced Excel data analysis techniques along with familiarity with various financial software systems for reporting and analysis purposes.

Leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing finance teams while promoting a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous learning.

Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Join us as we empower our organization through sound financial stewardship. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our fiscal future while fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and strategic success.
