Archaea Energy, a bp company, is a leader in landfill gas to energy and the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the US. With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline. About the role This position will report to the CFO of Conifer Systems as well as into the Archaea Operational Accounting team. This position will also receive direction from the CEO of Conifer on projects and tasks as needed. The candidate should have a working knowledge of construction/manufacturing accounting and project cost control process flow. This position will provide cost control support which is critical to forecasting and reporting financial performance for the business unit as well as steering commercial/sales efforts based on product throughput and market pricing tolerance correlated to specific product gross margin potential. We are looking for a self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The position will be located in Houston but will be eligible to work from home for limited days throughout the week. Key accountabilities Prepare financial statements including balance sheet and income statement Ensure accurate revenue recognition through percentage of completion process with construction/manufacturing accounting.
