Sienna Mercato, a multi-concept restaurant and hospitality group located in Downtown Pittsburgh, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to oversee the company's accounting and financial operations.

This is not a remote or purely strategic position. We are looking for someone who understands the day-to-day financial demands of the restaurant industry and is comfortable being directly involved in accounts payable, financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, and overall accounting operations.

Position Overview

The Controller will be responsible for managing the company's accounting functions, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, financial reporting, month-end close, and maintaining accurate and timely financial records.

The ideal candidate has significant restaurant accounting experience and hands-on experience with Compeat and/or Restaurant365 (R365).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete accounting function for a multi-unit restaurant operation
• Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable process, including vendor invoices, payment schedules, aging reports, and vendor relationships
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and management reports
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing process
• Perform bank, credit card, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow and assist ownership with weekly cash management and payment priorities
• Review Accounts Payable aging and develop recommendations for vendor payments and cash requirements
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records
• Work closely with ownership and management to provide meaningful financial analysis and reporting
• Analyze food, beverage, labor, and operating costs
