Controller, Finance Manager

Overview

As Controller, Finance Manager, you’ll lead core accounting and financial management activities, turning accurate records into clear, useful insights. You’ll oversee financial close processing, reporting, cash management, and compliance while guiding the finance team. Your impact: Reliable financial reporting helps leaders make informed decisions and supports responsible stewardship of organizational resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger accounting, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation; ensure accurate debits and credits and sound double-entry bookkeeping.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury management, and cash management processes.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost accounting analysis; prepare clear financial report writing and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain accounting systems and financial software, including tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero; use spreadsheets and Excel data analysis to support decisions.
• Manage accounting teams and strengthen financial accounting, corporate accounting, technical accounting, and financial compliance practices.

Experience

• Demonstrated accounting and financial management experience, with strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial concepts.
• Knowledge of applicable GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and regulatory compliance accounting.
• Experience with financial close, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance; familiarity with public, non-profit, governmental, or international accounting is valuable.
• Ability to lead a finance team, communicate findings clearly, and apply accounting software and financial software effectively.

Pay: $78.00 - $120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
