With operations spanning freestanding emergency departments and expanding hospital services, Clear Choice Health System is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy that includes new facility development, strategic acquisitions, physician partnerships, and expansion into additional markets.
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, ownership, and other senior leaders to drive financial performance, strengthen organizational infrastructure, secure growth capital, and support the long-term strategic direction of the enterprise.
We are seeking more than a traditional hospital CFO.
The ideal candidate will combine sophisticated healthcare financial expertise with the entrepreneurial mindset, operational discipline, and capital markets experience necessary to help build and scale a successful healthcare platform.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's corporate financial strategy.
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and long-term organizational objectives.
- Direct annual operating plans, capital budgets, and long-range financial forecasts.
- Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate expansion opportunities, new facility development, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide recommendations regarding capital allocation, resource deployment, and investment priorities.

- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership.

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Lead and coordinate enterprise-wide tax planning and preparation with external tax advisors.
- Direct the preparation of timely, accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Develop standardized financial reporting across multiple facilities, operating companies, and legal entities.
- Establish scalable accounting processes, reporting systems, and financial workflows.
- Implement technology and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility.
- Prepare comprehensive financial presentations and reporting packages for the Board of Directors, ownership, lenders, and investors.
Capital Markets, Financing, and Investor Relations
- Lead debt and equity fundraising initiatives to support the organization's growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting debt financing, equity investments, acquisitions, and capital projects.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, lenders, investors, and other capital partners.
- Prepare investor presentations, financial projections, and capital-raising materials.
- Lead and coordinate financial due diligence processes associated with financing transactions.
- Monitor debt covenants, credit agreements, and other financing obligations.
- Oversee treasury functions, liquidity planning, cash management, and working capital strategies.
- Support lender and investor reporting requirements and ongoing financial compliance.
Healthcare Reimbursement, Payor Contracting, and Financial Compliance
- Lead financial strategy and negotiations related to commercial payor contracts.
- Evaluate reimbursement trends, contract performance, and opportunities to improve net revenue.
- Monitor reimbursement-related risks, regulatory developments, and financial compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial compliance and internal control program.
- Establish risk assessment and monitoring processes addressing applicable federal and state healthcare financial regulations.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and compliance leadership regarding healthcare reimbursement, physician compensation, and financial arrangements.
- Monitor physician productivity and compensation metrics, including work relative value unit (wRVU) models and incentive programs, to support financial performance and regulatory compliance.
- Develop appropriate financial and administrative controls to safeguard protected health information and support HIPAA compliance.
- Implement and maintain financial governance standards, approval authorities, and internal accountability processes.
Mergers, Acquisitions, and Enterprise Growth
- Provide financial leadership in evaluating potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Direct financial due diligence, valuation analyses, and transaction modeling.
- Assess financial risks, capital requirements, integration costs, and anticipated investment returns.
- Support new market entry, facility development, and expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to integrate acquired businesses and newly developed facilities.
- Establish post-acquisition financial reporting, performance monitoring, and accountability frameworks.
- Help build a scalable financial infrastructure capable of supporting continued organizational expansion.
Financial Performance and Operational Accountability

- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial results while supporting quality patient care.
- Identify performance variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop financial benchmarks and accountability measures for individual facilities and business units.
- Present financial results, emerging risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

- Experience within acute-care hospitals, freestanding emergency departments, physician organizations, or multisite healthcare enterprises.

- Experience with investor relations, financial due diligence, and capital market transactions.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a strategic financial executive with a builder's mentality—someone who is equally comfortable developing a long-term capital strategy, negotiating with lenders, analyzing facility-level performance, and establishing the financial systems necessary to support rapid growth.
We are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate
- Entrepreneurial leadership: The ability to operate effectively in a growing organization and build financial infrastructure rather than simply manage established systems.
- Strategic thinking: The ability to translate organizational goals into executable financial strategies.
- Financial discipline: A strong commitment to accountability, profitability, cash management, and measurable performance.
- Capital markets expertise: Experience securing financing, working with investors, and evaluating complex transactions.
