Assistant Business Controller

Your day-to-day

• Month-end processing and participation in a team Finance environment with the objective of on time reporting for the Quincy Customer Center.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts as directed by the Business Controller.
• Assist with annual and/or cyclical stocktaking and variance analysis and investigation.
• Responsible for Fixed Assets management for the entire customer center and includes the balance sheet reconciliation.
• Responsible for regular, repetitive reporting and distribution to various operation and sales manager, direct regions and/or distributor offices. Responsible for ad-hoc reporting and data collection as required.
• Analyze PPV.
• Standard cost updates
• Weekly freight bill by regions.
• Review and analyze Wireless Watchdog reports and invoices.
• Assist with the overall month end process and reporting.
• Assist with updating and recording of prokuras to meet corporate guidelines.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting required. If no degree, strong work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 2 - 4 years experience in accounting within an industrial environment
• Proven analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail
• Good PC skills generally and advanced skills in excel. Exposure to BPCS would be an advantage.
• Present a positive, ethical attitude whilst adhering to all internal controls.
• Suggests improvements in Procedures and Systems
